Overlook Resort Hotel

It’s more fun in the Philippines.  How appropriate. Whoever thought of this slogan is a genius.

Truly the Philippines is a fun place. The colorful cities, barrios and people all combine to give the country a fiesta ambiance.

This blogger is a backpack tourist and an expert in bargain travel in Asia. I am a penny pincher so I research my travel carefully. I have traveled to all parts of the Philippines. This year I will revisit Luzon and its bigger cities.

I have been here since February this year. I stayed  almost all the time in Antipolo because it is near Manila and  being higher, lots cooler. Plus it offers great views of the city.  I have seen many tourist spots in this city but I was most impressed by the historic Hinulugang Taktak. This is a really grand and pretty waterfall. Too bad it has been allowed to deteriorate. It is a crime that such a natural wonder has become so polluted and dirty. One other  annoying  thing I have encountered  in the city is the huge number of tricycles. And nearly all of them have motors with decibel levels  close to a 747.   Enough noise to loosen your fillings. They should pass a law which prohibits such ruckus or mandate silencers for the infernal mufflers.

There are many good and inexpensive restaurants and places to stay in Antipolo.  I decided to give Overlook Resort a try because it seemed a bargain and it is close to the falls.  Good food here and great prices. Plus the staff is really nice. Check out the view at sunset and at night. Fill a cooler with ice and cold beer and gaze out at the fantastic nightscape of the city. You could almost  feel your blood pressure drop.

Bonding time @ Overlook Resort Antipolo

Hello, Internet bloogers and cyberpals. Isnt the Internet wonderful? How did we ever manage before Facebook, Twitter, etc. ..?
Nowadays I spend some of my free time emailing friends and putting in my two cents worth of advice and sagacious comments in various blogsites hoping to contribute to this planet and its inhabitants.
Well I want to talk about our good (and less than good) experience at a resort called Overlook Resort. Enjoy kami.

Dala kau marami food. Pero bawal ang drinks ditto. May corkage.
Dahil sa dami namin (almost 100)  sa garden na lang kami ngstay. Super good time ako with my relatives. Sana mas madalas itong reunion namin. Tumatanda mga oldies. Soon baka mawala na mga grandparents and great great grandparents. Memories are made of these. Kaya samantalahin natin ang ating mga magulang, lolo at lola habang buhay pa cla. DI BA TAMA!!!
